Just when you thought we were out of surprises and comic tie-ins we're happy to announce that our upcoming single "Chainsaw Witch" is based on a brand new comic by superstar writer Cullen Bunn!
Our song is based on Death Duel of the Chainsaw Witches, available on Cullen's own Kickstarter campaign now. We're putting our heads together to come up with something special ONLY FOR BACKERS OF BOTH CAMPAIGNS. We'll have something cool and limited related to "Chainsaw Witch" for you if you're a backer on both campaigns, so go grab a copy!
DEATH DUEL OF THE CHAINSAW WITCHES
Death Duel with the Chainsaw Witches, illustrated, colored, and lettered by Diogo Carvalho, presents heavy metal horror, as a trio of rocker witches wage a bloody war against demonic forces. This will be an exclusive printing of a full color, 22 page one-shot.
Cullen is best known for writing Uncanny X-Men, a number of Venom and Deadpool comics, Shadowman for Valiant, and a TON of great creator-owned comics. He called us up a few months ago and said "Hey, I've got this gnarly horror comic coming up, do you guys want to do a song about it?!" And lo, "Chainsaw Witch" was born!
"Chainsaw Witch" is our first song with Justin on drums. We're not too humble to let you know that the song rips, and so does the comic, so we hope you'll enjoy both!
THUNDER-TATTOOS - LIVE!
Nina, Josh & Jesse will be getting ASoT logo tattoos and we'll be live streaming from the tattoo parlor! You can join us on Facebook live or Youtube at 3:30pm EST on Saturday!
The Queen of Hell comic campaign ends on Saturday at 5pm EST, so this will be our celebration of the end of another successful campaign!

It's the dreaded doldrums! Yes, the new campaign is nearing the end but has hit a wall. To get a boost, we're asking you to go leave a comment ON THE NEW CAMPAIGN (not this one). This should help boost us in Kickstarter's algorithm. In return we're going to give away a super rare foil file copy comic to one random person who leaves a comment. We know you're shy, so here are some ideas for your comment:

FOIL TRADING CARDS HAVE BEEN ULOCKED! All backers on BOTH campaigns will get an exclusive foil Queen of Hell card! But to make sure we don't get overextended, future stretch goals will likely be for backers ON THE NEW CAMPAIGN ONLY.
We really need to hit 300 backers by Friday. We're at 270 now. That's only 30 more people! We don't need big pledges, $1 helps us just as much. 300 backers should qualify us for BackerKit ad services. The music and cover photoshoot for "Chainsaw Witch" are done! The final mix and master are approved and in-hand, and the final photo cover is being chosen and edited this week! Here's a sneak peak at one of the shots:

The "Chainsaw Witch" music video shoot is this weekend! Our old pal Dewey Tron (director of "Kill That Bitch" and "Murderous Horde") is stepping in to direct!
Finally in the spirit of metal and collaboration we want to tell you about a bad-ass metal comic we discovered on Kickstarter. It's called Our Lady of Crows and the main character is a metal DJ! Here's the author's description:
Late night, heavy metal radio hostess Danah Dosella was in the wrong place at the wrong time, accidentally stumbling upon human traffickers as they were in the process of kidnapping their next victim. Mortally wounded as a result of the fateful encounter, Danah later died while at the same time spiritually possessing a murder of crows. She now she lives on in all of them and together they share one unified purpose: Revenge.
As Josh mentioned in the video his parents are both in the path of hurricane Milton. We expect some of you will be too, and some of your loved ones definitely are. Stay safe out there and best of luck to everyone. May the power of metal keep you safe in the storm!

THE QUEEN CALLS FOR AID!
The new Kickstarter started off strong but we have hit the dreaded doldrums! Kickstarters always hit a wall where pledges suddenly slow to a trickle, and we are there. As of right now we are not on track to hit the 300 backers we need to qualify for BackerKit ads and reach more new people. What that means for you is we are not going to come out of this project with enough funds to start Queen of Hell: Act II.
Stretch goal items unocked on the new campaign will also go to all physical backers on the original campaign. First up is a foil Queen of Hell trading card at $20,000, and we're just $1,000 away from that goal!
(The stretch goal trading card will be a new card in addition to the add-on trading card set!)
$1 VIDEO SHOUT-OUTS!
We're having a ton of fun coming up with "Incredible But True Backer Compliments" for all backers on the new campaign! If you want one like this, just back the new campaign for $1!

Beyond trying to amp up the comic Kickstarter, we have been super busy finishing up the new bonus single "Chainsaw Witch", and now that recording is done we're working on a photoshoot for the single cover, a music video shoot, and of course those both entail pimping out a real chainsaw so it's worthy of a Chainsaw Witch. Ain't being in a metal band grand?!
Max Bayo has also completed the colors for issue #4 page 15 (11 pages to go) and Mike Ratera is working on the personalized A5 drawings for "The Art Department" backers!
