Josh and Nina got together yesterday to shout out our latest backers. They shot a longform update over a drink so if you want to just hang with us for a bit, that's below! It's 14 minutes long, so we'll put the bulletpoints first this time!
WE WERE WRONG! Don't sleep on the new campaign. We rarely do this but we are actually asking for a favor: please back the new campaign for $1! If we can hit 500 backers on the new campaign it will really help us reach more people...and that will help us come to your town!
There are BackerKit advertising tools that we can ONLY get access to if we hit 500 backers on the new campaign. They literally will not let us use them otherwise.
Putting on a good showing will help us get a publisher for Queen of Hell, which means we will be in comic shops around the country reaching new people and that makes it possible for us to come play shows closer to you!
Nobody has issue #4 because it wasn't offered on this campaign. Most of you only have issue #1 coming. So if you want to get the whole series it's better for us if you get it through the new campaign. (But you can still get it via BackerKit if you prefer!)
We just need backer numbers - a $1 pledge on the new campaign bumps that number up just as much as a big pledge!
RETURN CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT! Our first show with Justin on drums will be right where we held our final local show with Chris last year: Reclaim Arcade in Fredericksburg, Virginia!
We'll have an extended set and play some new tunes as well as never-before-played closet-classics and of course your faves!
Just like last time you get unlimited free pinball and arcade gaming all night! Come for a hang, play games with the band, and get your face melted off while you're at it!
We are working on the possibility of this being 1) live streamed, and 2) a pickup event for your Kickstarter rewards. We can't make any promises yet but please stay tuned!

Today is the day! We've finally launched the comic campaign for Queen of Hell: Initium! Mike Ratera has completed his final page of art on the entire project. As a sorcerer supreme once said...we're in the endgame now!
Even if comics aren't your thing, shares and $1 pledges go a long way!
Now then, some important info if you are on the fence or are unsure about how to pledge:
Most of you will have a copy of Initium #1 (Dusan Markovic Main Cover) in your rewards on the original campaign. Since rewards on the new comic campaign stack, it will be hard to avoid having a duplicate #1 Markovic cover. Therefore...WE ARE PRODUCING A SECRET UNLISTED "NO DUPLICATES" VARIANT COVER #1! This will be a full-color wrap-around cover featuring the Queen of Hell and the band! We will switch this out with your extra copy of #1, hence the name...you get NO DUPLICATES!
It does help us a little more if you get additional items through the new campaign versus through the original campaign survey when it goes out. Either is ok! But getting more activity on the new campaign helps us reach new people!
All the reward on the new campaign stack, which means if you are just looking for issue #4, you are going to see a $40 tier as your cheapest option. DON'T WORRY. Josh will be cross-referencing all of the pledges between both campaigns. Just back for the number of comics you need/want! So if you only want issue #4, back Tier 1 ($10) for one copy of issue #1. We'll switch that out for a #4, and we'll message you if there's any doubt!
Some of the new items are in reward tiers that have overlapping/duplicate items from reward tiers on the original campaign. Now that we are using BackerKit to manage pledges, it will be easier for us to make adjustments for you. That means we can convert reward pledges into credit for other items if you want. So if there's anything you're having trouble with, you can message us, or just throw money at the new campaign and we'll sort you out after! We'll make sure you're not paying for duplicate items you don't want.
Thanks as always for your incredible patience and understanding as we've navigated our most challenging project and the most challenging year of our personal lives all at the same time! We're so happy to be back together and making new music!
New comic campaign: clearing up any confusion!

Today we sent an e-mail announcing the long-awaited Queen of Hell: Initium follow-up campaign in the comic book category. We've already gotten some questions about this. Here's a video update from Josh explaining everything, and as usual we'll give you the basics in text below:
First up, here is the actual link to follow the new campaign. Please follow it even if you don't necessarily want to back it. More followers means more visibility and a better chance of success!
"I got notification of a new Queen of Hell campaign. What's up with that?"
This is to fund the comic book part of Queen of Hell: Initium, which is Act I of the Queen of Hell saga. (It is not for the next act of Queen of Hell, which will likely be called Queen of Hell: Insurrection!) We always planned to run a secondary campaign in the comic book category. The original campaign did not fully fund the comic or hit all the stretch goals. This campaign to complete the comic was originally supposed to run in June 2023 when we thought everything would be ready to fulfill. We delayed it because the artwork ran late and we didn't want to run another campaign until we were sure the comic was almost done. Today artist Mike Ratera is working on literally the very last page of the entire series, so we're confident that now is the right time to launch the campaign!
"Do I need to back the new campaign?"
Not necessarily. We need some of you to back it or it won't succeed! And the better it does the sooner we can get back in the studio and give you new music. But if you're not interested in comic books and already have all the other items you want, you can just wait for the final BackerKit survey for the original campaign. There will be add-on comics available there. There are some exclusive variant cover comics on the new campaign, but backers of the original campaign will be able to get the full series in the standard covers via add-ons to the original campaign.
"What should I do? Can you just make this easy for me?"
Yes! Here's what you should do to best support us and make sure you get what you want:
When the campaign launches, check it out! If you see stuff that excites you, back the campaign! There's gonna be a lot of cool $#!t!
If you don't see anything that excites you, don't back it. You can wait for the BackerKit survey for the main campaign which we will be sending soon.
If you have any questions, including about what rewards you are already getting, what part of the series you may be missing, and what's new on the comic campaign...just send us a message!

And if Queen of Hell: Initium was your first time backing us, yes, this was an unusual delay for us, but we are 100% committed and on track to finally finish up this project. We didn't plan for the artwork to be so late, and we didn't plan for the band to fall apart and come back together. But we thank you for hanging in there with us. We still think everything will be worth the wait...and the waiting's almost done!

Justin hits the studio this weekend to track drums for a new single! This will be an extra bonus track for all of you on the ASoT in 3D bonus disc, but we're hoping to get it out digitally for Halloween!
The first batch of comics has been ordered! CDs are next. Simple rewards will be ready to start shipping in September. More items will be arriving regularly as we prep the bigger packages.
Chris came to visit! He's doing well, signed some cymbals for us, and will be back soon to sign Queen of Hell stuff!
